Step 3 · Your rank report
Your business
Review Power scores your listing 0–100 against your market: 70% review count, 30% star rating. Counts are measured against the local leader and the rating is weighted, so a few perfect reviews can’t outscore hundreds of great ones.

How NFC review stands & cards work
One tap opens your Google review page.
Each stand and card has a built-in NFC chip linked to your Google review page. Most customers who mean to leave a review never do: they'd have to find your listing later, and "later" rarely comes. A tap skips all of that, so the review gets written right there, before they walk away.

How we calculate the numbers
Rank and Map Pack: we pull the top 20 businesses Google returns for each search near you and rank them on Review Power, so more reviews always count. The top 3 are the Map Pack spots you're competing for.
Review Power: 70% review volume plus 30% weighted star rating, because that's how customers read a listing. Volume is on a log scale against the local leader; the weighted rating pulls small counts toward the local average, so a handful of perfect reviews can't outrank hundreds of great ones.
To pass them: a plain review count, never a score: more reviews than they have, minus a small allowance when your rating is higher. We show how long that takes at your pace today and at your plan's pace, so the number stays honest even in the thousands.
Your goal: we benchmark the Map Pack on the reviews it actually holds (the median of the top 3), then stage the route: the nearest business you can pass inside 90 days, then Map Pack level, then the leader. Your goal is that first stage of your hardest search, capped at the pace a team your size can hold. Already out-review the Map Pack? We aim for a clear 25% lead over the strongest business above you.
Leads and pace: a typical local search volume scaled to your market, split by the clicks each position gets, with 1 in 4 clicks becoming a lead and half of those a job at your average value. We assume competitors keep their historical pace (reviews over three years) and each stand or card brings about 2 reviews a week. Estimates to plan with, not guarantees.

FAQ
Google ranking questions, answered.
How do I check where my business ranks on Google Maps?
Search for your business name in the checker above and confirm it's you. Then type up to 3 searches you want to win, like "plumber" or "drain cleaning". We pull the top 20 businesses Google returns for each one, rank them on reviews, and show where you land, whether you're in the top 3, and exactly who sits above you. It's free and needs no sign-up.
What is the Google Map Pack?
The Map Pack is the box of 3 businesses Google shows with a map at the top of local searches. Most calls and clicks go to those 3, so the checker tells you for each search whether you're in it and how many reviews it takes to get in.
Why does my competitor rank higher than me on Google Maps?
Google ranks local businesses on three things: relevance (how well your profile matches the search), distance (how close you are to the searcher) and prominence (how well known and trusted you are). Reviews are a big part of prominence. Google says review count and rating factor into local ranking, so the business with more reviews and a higher rating usually wins the click.
How many Google reviews do I need to rank higher?
There's no single number: it depends on your local competition. The checker benchmarks the Map Pack on the reviews it actually holds, works out the review count it takes to pass each rival, then stages the route: the nearest business you can realistically pass first, then Map Pack level, then the leader. In some markets that's 30 reviews. In others it's thousands, and we'll say so instead of pretending 90 days closes it.
Do Google reviews affect local rankings?
Yes. Google's own guidance says more reviews and positive ratings can improve local ranking. Reviews also decide who gets chosen once the list appears: most people compare review count first, then the rating.
Is it allowed to ask customers for Google reviews?
Yes. Google allows businesses to ask customers for honest reviews. What's not allowed is paying for reviews, offering rewards for them, or only asking customers you know are happy. Ask everyone, every time.
How do review stands and cards help me catch up?
They take the friction out of asking. One tap opens your Google review page with the stars ready, so far more of the customers you ask actually leave a review. That's how you hit the weekly pace your plan calls for.
Which searches should I check in the rank checker?
Pick the ones customers type when they're ready to spend: the service plus your city, like "emergency plumber" or "kitchen remodeling". You know your market better than any tool, so type your three money-makers rather than vague terms like "best company". Narrow searches with real intent beat broad ones you'll never win.
How accurate is the lost leads estimate?
It's a planning estimate, not a measurement. Google doesn't share search volume through this tool, so we start from a typical local search volume, scale it to the size of your market, and split it by the share of clicks each position gets, then assume 1 in 4 clicks becomes a lead and half of those become jobs at the average job value you enter. Treat it as the order of magnitude of what ranking below the Map Pack costs you.
How does the checker choose a bundle for me?
Two things: the review pace your goal needs, and what your team can realistically use. A service crew gets a card for every person who finishes a job, plus a stand to carry along; a shop or salon gets stands where customers pay and wait, plus cards at each station. We then suggest the smallest kit that covers both, so you're never pointed at more devices than your team can put to work.
Is the rank checker really free?
Yes. No account, no email, no credit card. Run it as often as you like and share your report link with your team.
