Why Does My NFC Product Open Google’s Homepage Instead of My Review Page?

Why is this happening?

If tapping your Review⚡️Zaps Card or Stand opens Google’s homepage instead of your business review page, the NFC tag is usually being detected correctly, but the saved link is incomplete, incorrect, or no longer pointing to the right destination.

The easiest fix is to generate a fresh review link, test it, and then reprogram your NFC Product.

1. Generate a Fresh Google Review Link

Use our free:

Start typing your business name.

If needed, add your city and state to narrow the results.

Select the correct business location, then click:

COPY MY REVIEW LINK

You can also click:

TEST MY LINK

to confirm that the link opens the correct Google review page before programming it into your Review⚡️Zaps Product.

Using the generator avoids problems caused by:

• Typing the link manually
• Copying an incomplete URL
• Using the wrong business location
• Copying a very long Google Maps URL
• Accidentally changing part of the link

2. Test the Link Before Saving It

Before writing the link to your NFC Product, click TEST MY LINK in the generator.

Confirm that:

• The correct business opens
• The correct location is shown
• Google opens the review-writing page

If the link does not open the correct business, search again and make sure you selected the correct listing.

Do not continue programming the NFC Product until the review link works correctly.

3. Check the Link in NFC Tools

Open NFC Tools and look at the URL you previously entered.

If you used an older link, manually typed URL, or long Google Maps address, replace it with the fresh link from our generator.

Make sure the URL field contains only the review link.

Do not include:

• Your business name
• Extra spaces
• Additional text
• Duplicate https://

4. Replace the Incorrect Link

If your NFC Product has not been permanently locked:

1. Open NFC Tools
2. Tap Other
3. Tap Erase Tag
4. Hold your phone over the NFC Product until the erase is complete
5. Return to Write
6. Tap Add a Record
7. Tap Add Custom URL/URI
8. Paste the fresh review link from our generator
9. Tap OK
10. Tap Write / XX Bytes
11. Hold your phone over the NFC Product until NFC Tools confirms the write was successful

Then tap your Review⚡️Zaps Product with your phone and verify that it opens the correct Google review page.
